Nice religion you got there, Muhammad
It’s “take your baby daughter on the suicide mission” day!
As police listened in on the men using a hidden bug, they heard Umar Islam and Abdulla Ahmed Ali discuss a train bombing in which one participant wanted to take his child.
Ali said: “That’s why he wanted to take his kid on the train with him - shake them up.”
Peter Wright QC, prosecuting, said Islam said his wife may join the plot if it was a “significant operation”.
Ali was overheard considering taking his child but said his wife “would not agree to it”.
The prosecutor said: “Such a sacrifice is beyond contemplation for those who are the targets but not those who participate in activities such as this.”
Mr Wright also revealed they had drawn up devastating plans to target nuclear power stations, gas and oil refineries, the National Grid and Canary Wharf, the court heard.
Jurors were told their ambitions were “limitless” and they were shown chilling suicide videos in which one alleged plotter promised to leave body parts “decorating the streets”.

Not all Muslims are Islamists, let alone terrorists in the name of Islam.
There do exist quite a few Muslim reformers who oppose Islamism and who favor separation of church (mosque) and state. For a list of some Muslim reformers and their websites, see the post Islam and religion-based bigotry on my blog.
I’m not a Muslim myself, but it seems to me that, in order to oppose Islamism effectively, an alliance between Muslim reformers and non-Muslim secularists would be very helpful. For For more about this matter, see my post More about Islam & Islamism: Response to “Islamoscope”.
